Yesterday I had the honor of cooking Bruegger’s Bagels with their head Chef, Philip Smith. I learned what ingredients go into making a bagel, how they are kettled and then baked and then I got to show Chef Smith some of my recipes. I know you would love to know as well so soon I will be sharing by day at Bruegger’s with you!

Bruegger’s Bagels has invited me to cook with their head Chef Philip Smith!
Bruegger’s Bagels has asked me to cook with their head Chef Philip Smith on his visit to Raleigh NC. As you know this is my favorite food and I am looking forward to finding out how Bruegger’s makes their bagels and I have all kinds of questions to ask Chef Smith.
Yesterday I visited the store to meet him. You would have thought that I was the celebrity! I was greeted at the door not only by the head chef himself, Josh the District Manager, Margaret the Bakery Manager and Laurie, the Media Relations Manager of SPM Communications who along with Tracy has made this wonderful opportunity for me possible.
Today Chef Smith will be showing me how the Bagel’s are made and I will be showing him some of my favorite bagel recipes that you can make at home. I know that all of you reading this love their bagels too so I will share my adventures at Bruegger’s today soon with you on my You Tube Channel, “At Home with Sydney”.
Thank you to everyone at Bruegger’s Bagels and SPM Communications.
My visit to the Apex Bruegger’s Bagels
Allan, the owner of the Apex Bruegger’s Bagels took me on a tour of his kitchen. It was an amazing experience especially since my favorite food, that I could eat every day of the year, is a Bruegger’s Bagel! If you haven’t visited his restaurant you have to put it on your list. They are located at 760 W Williams St, Apex, NC in the shopping plaza with Harris Teeter just off 55 and Olive Chapel Road.
They bake their bagels fresh all day long and one of their chefs even has his own personal touch on their panini sandwiches! I am not going to tell you what it is…you will have to stop by and try it for yourself.
Valentine’s day will be here soon and Allan and his staff have a real treat in store for you. They will be making heart shaped red bagels. This is one seasonal bagel you do not want to miss.
