Champions of Play, McDonald’s Happy Meal Chef updates

I am proud to show you my letter that I got today from Tom Murry, NC House of representatives, 41st District
Today I got this letter in the mail congratulating me on my accomplishments with my McDonald’s Champions of Play and my other cooking adventures from Tom Murry, NC House of Representatives for the 41st District.
I was honored and hope to continue to show kids healthy eating and cooking as well as having fun in the kitchen. I would like to be a spokesperson for NC not only to encourage kids to get in the kitchen but to also show them the wonderful crops and food items that are grown and made right here in NC. Thank you Mr. Murry for your support.

Vote for my Bird Lasagna Recipe which would benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Chefs for Humanity
I have been selected as a one of ten national finalists in the Loukoumi’s Celebrity Cookbook ‘Favorite Childhood Recipe’ Contest for her Bird Lasagna recipe. My video is featured on their Facebook page. If I were to be selected as the winner, my recipe would be featured in a Loukoumi cookbook which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chefs for Humanity which will also include recipes by celebrities. I would also get to cook my recipe with Iron Chef Cat Cora.
The video with the most “likes” on the LOUKOUMI facebook page will count for 1/3 of the vote. The other 2/3 will be selected by their judging panel. You can also “like” the LOUKOUMI facebook page itself so you can follow the results. The final winner will be announced in September.
Please go to their page today and vote for me if you like my video and leave a comment. Tell you friends and family, post on your Facebook page as voting will go until next Tuesday, July 22. Tomorrow morning my video will be moved to the right hand column and will go down the page as more videos are featured later in the week. Below is the link.

I am so proud and excited to tell you that my Bird Lasagna recipe, which uses turkey or chicken and some secret vegetables has been selected as one of ten finalists to be featured in a cook book written by Nick Katsoris, who is a famous author of kids books as well as a celebrity cook book. My video will be featured one day next week, August 13th thru the 23rd on the Loukoumi Facebook page. See attached link and check it daily. Please look for it and vote for my video if you like it! I hope that you have enjoyed my posts and pictures from our trip to the London Olympic Games. We had a fantastic time, met so many new friends and got to do and experience things that one can only dream about.
