So proud to be named the first ever Miss Apex along with Sean Kanters, from Apex High who was named Mr. Apex.  We were nominated by people in our community for our achievements, community service and school contributions.  Thank you to Janice Monaco of All Booked Up and the  Apex downtown business association for making this opportunity a reality.  I look forward to representing our great town for the next year.

Our town, Apex, was ranked #9 in the nation to live in by Money Magazine. That calls for a town party!

Apex ,  means “The Peak of Good Living”   Thank you to everyone from the town of Apex ,  for making my home town such a great place to live.  Thank you to Councilman Scott Lassiter for including me in the event.  He served ice cream with Mayor Weatherly.  Fire Chief Harraway was on hand to show off our fantastic fire trucks and staff.  Police Chief Letteney greated visitors and had many of his officers all over the event to help and answer questions.  It was a great day.  Congratulations Apex!

My visit to the Apex Bruegger’s Bagels

20130124_123950Allan, the owner of the Apex Bruegger’s Bagels took me on a tour of his kitchen.  It was an amazing experience especially since my favorite food,  that I could eat every day of the year,  is a Bruegger’s Bagel!  If you haven’t visited his restaurant you have to put it on your list.  They are located at  760 W Williams St, Apex, NC in the shopping plaza with Harris Teeter just off 55 and Olive Chapel Road.

They bake their bagels fresh all day long and one of their chefs even has his own personal touch on their panini sandwiches!  I am not going to tell you what it is…you will have to stop by and try it for yourself.

Valentine’s day will be here soon and Allan and his staff have a real treat in store for you.  They will be making heart shaped red bagels.  This is one seasonal bagel you do not want to miss.
